Journalists

You have an awesome responsibility in a free nation. Liberty rests in the hands of those sharing information. The pen truly is mightier than the sword.

You imagine you are an unbiased journalist, providing listeners/readers with accurate information – the untarnished truth that will allow them to make well-informed rational decisions.

There is an ugly truth in American politics today. And that truth is that persistent and insidious disinformation coupled with the social pressure to fit in with a group, has muddled our thinking with fake news, false memories, faulting reasoning. There are few people left in this country capable of rational original untainted thinking.

Journalists are no exception. Those reporting on political issues are as thoroughly brainwashed as those reading or listening to their stories. Journalists are outraged when I reveal this ugly truth. Their ‘cognitive dissonance’ reaction is to angrily deny they could be compromised and to object to any hint that their reporting could be distorted by misinformation and bias.

Our freedom, the very life of our country, depends on a free-thinking well-informed majority. And that majority cannot exist without freedom of media – uncompromised and free of corruption.

Thomas Jefferson warned,

"Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost."

Jefferson also saw the danger of a media that has been compromised by lies, "Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle."

Our political system is in self-destruct mode. Voters are brainwashed, politicians are brainwashed, and journalists are brainwashed. Even those producing the fake news, promoting lies, and using propaganda to ‘influence’ elections believe their deception.

Everyone wanting to win is caught up in this dystopian fiction. There is no political reality, only the fabricated false duality.
