I seek to be happy!

In this crazy political environment that is not easy.

Whether it is a Jefferson’s Pursuit, Diderot’s Passion, or The Beatles’ Warm Gun, it is my goal to be happy, and a big part of finding happiness is finding ‘purpose.’

My purpose is to change politics in America.

I believe in the saying that to change the world you must first change yourself.
“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” George Bernard Shaw
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” Leo Tolstoy

No one wants to become a worse person. ‘Change yourself’ is another way of saying embark on a journey of self-improvement.  If to satisfy my Pursuit of Happiness I need purpose and my purpose is to change the world, but to change the world I must first change myself, then to find happiness I must work on self-improvement.

What’s wrong with the world that I think needs to change?  That is simple and easy to answer. I see our politics as directly infringing on our natural right to Pursuit of Happiness. Our politics deceives us, drives us apart, creates incivility & conflict, causes stress & insecurity, erodes trust, and results in economic inequity. All of these things make finding happiness difficult or impossible.

I have many ideas for legislation that could solve this political crisis, but, it has been established that I cannot change the world - all I can do is change myself.

Thus, my purpose – is to embark on a journey of self-improvement that changes how I react to and interact with US political insanity. What better place to start than building a campaign site for the office of US House of Representatives?
